WELCOME TO HOMELESS GALLERY WEB PAGE!

The Homeless Gallery is a spontaneously created photo exhibition open to anyone; it appears wherever a places becomes available for a day or two, or a week (for example in deserted places awaiting redevelopment).

Subject, technique and the number of presented works are the authors’ individual decision. All kinds of forms of displaying the work is allowed, ranging from a regular print to an installation.

The event is of an informal character, it has already developed into the form of cyclical exhibitions. The purpose of The Homeless Gallery is enabling all those who take interesting photos to present their own work.

Galeria Bezdomna / Homeless Gallery is a free form open entry photography gallery which happens on an ad hoc basis. Whenever and wherever a suitable space becomes available, an exhibition period is set . Details are distributed to photographers via word of mouth or photgraphers networks inviting participation. There is no entry criteria such as a selection panel or style police.

Anyone who turns up on hanging day with their pictures and their hanging toolkit and can find a space is welcome to participate. There are no restrictions on number of pictures, size or content, save that the participant gives respect to the other artists who hang work, irrespective of proficiency or status. Only other provisos are that you must come back on closing day to remove your works or else they are consigned to the rubbish skip, and you need to fill in an indemnity form on hanging day.
